My main specialities include the great British countryside, wildlife, local, seasonal food and the environment. My knowledge and expertise in these areas led to my appointment as Editor of the BBC Countryfile Magazine which I conceived and edited from 2007 - 2009.

Other countryside-related highlights include:

  1. Regular appearances on local and national radio discussing rural affairs.

  2. Hosting the Countryfile stage at Gardener’s World Live in 2008 and 2009.

  3. Guest-speaker at the 2009 Best of Britain & Ireland event.

  4. Judging in various countryside awards including the RSPB Nature of Farming Award, Marsh Heritage Awards and the FARMA Farm Retailer of the Year.
